NOTICE & AGENDA
The third 2011-2012 Council of Governors Meeting to be held Saturday, January 28, 2012, in the Lincoln Room at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City, MO. An agenda is attached. There will be a work session at 9:00 a.m. All District Governors are encouraged to attend as we have many items to discuss before the general session begins at 10:30 a.m. The agenda is here.
The hotel is offering a lunch buffet of soups, sandwiches, salads, desserts and drinks, inclusive, for $14.50; or you can order from the menu. They also offer a breakfast buffet for $9.95 from 6:30 – 10:00 a.m.
The 26-M7 Host Convention Committee will host a hospitality room at 6:00 p.m. on Friday night in the Kansas City Room.
Lion Brenda has made room reservations for the District Governors. Room rates are $89 plus tax. For reservations call Jenny Capestro at 573-638-2306 and tell her you are with the Lions. Please note that the block of rooms will be released on JANUARY 6, 2012, so make your reservations now.
Governors: Any of the seated Governors who wish to run for 2012-13 Council Chairperson should submit their request to me in writing at this Council meeting.
Vice District Governors: It is imperative that you attend this meeting. VDG Training will be held at 7:30 Saturday morning in the Jefferson A Room. At some time Saturday the 1st VDGs will meet with the Convention Committee and Capitol Plaza Hotel to reserve the hospitality rooms for State Convention, and will need to bring a check for $135 payable to Missouri Lions State Convention 2012.
The VDG Spouses will meet at 9:30 Saturday morning in the Jefferson A Room.
Committee Chairpersons: Your reports must be sent to Lion Brenda ten (10) days prior to the Council meeting to be included in the packets. If this is not done you will need to furnish 27 copies of your report at the meeting for the Past International Directors, Council Chairperson, Governors, 1st & 2nd Vice Governors, Parliamentarian and Lion Brenda.
