COUNCIL MEETING INFORMATON
The second 2010-2011 Council of Governors Meeting to be held Saturday, October 30, 2010, at Country Club Hotel, 301 Carol Road, Lake Ozark, MO. (Take HH to the 3rd road on your right, turn on Carol and go approximately 1 ½ miles.)
On Friday evening, the Council of Governors will host a Hospitality Room in the AB Board Room.
We will have a Work Session at 9:00 Saturday morning. All District Governors are encouraged to attend as we have many items to discuss before the General Session begins at 10:00 a.m. Work sessions raise our awareness on some issues, allowing the general session to run more smoothly. Both will be held in the Palazzo Hall 4.
Committee budgets will be discussed at the work session; these budgets from the Committees should be submitted at least ten days prior to Lion Brenda to be included in the packets.
First and Second Vice District Governors: VDG Training is scheduled for Saturday morning, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., in the Monte Carlo Room. Spouses’ Training will follow at 9:00 a.m. in the same room.
A luncheon buffet will be available in Palazzo Hall 3 and will include: Penne Pasta with Italian Sausage, Vegetable Lasagna, Salad, Vegetable, Garlic Bread, Dessert and Beverage. The cost of the buffet will be $15 - $17.
Committee Chairpersons: Your reports must be sent to Lion Brenda ten (10) days prior to the Council meeting to be included in the packets. If this is not done you will need to furnish twenty-seven (27) copies of your report at the meeting for the Past International Directors, Council Chairperson, Governors, First & Second Vice District Governors, and Lion Brenda.
Since the length of time for reports varies, please be there at the beginning of the meeting to ensure that you are present when it is time for your committee report. If you will not be able to attend this meeting, please be sure a member of your committee is prepared to report on your behalf.
A block of rooms is reserved for Missouri Lions. Room rates are $74 plus tax per room per night. Tell them you are with the Lions when making reservations. Our block of rooms will be released on September 29. Call the Country Club Hotel at 800-964-6698. Lion Brenda has made reservations for the Past International Directors and District Governors as they requested. If other arrangements are needed, please let her know or call the hotel direct.
