2012 Missouri Lions All-State Band

What is the Missouri Lions All-State Band?

The band is a combination marching band and show band. Versatility is the key word, as the group will perform in parades and concerts. A variety of musical styles will be performed. The band will consist of a balanced horn line, a full drum line, and color guard.

How much does it cost and where will the Band perform?

The $900.00 per student figure covers the camp, all meals, lodging, transportation, and all the planned recreation and sightseeing. The students will be responsible for getting themselves to Ft. Wood for camp and for the return home from Ft. Wood following the trip. Colorful tee shirts will be provided and may be kept as a souvenir.

June 25 - June 29, 2012 Full Band Camp at Ft. Wood, MO.
June 28, 2012 - Farewell Concert for Lions , Parents, and Guests at Ft. Wood , MO.
June 29 –July 8, 2012 - Rapid City, SD. And Colorado Springs CO.
July 8, 2012 - Return to Ft. Wood , MO.
July 21, 2012 - Missouri Lions Blue and Gold All Star Football Game at Warrensburg, MO.

How do I become a member for the Missouri Lions All-State Band?

* Membership will be determined by musical or per-formance ability, attitude, moral character, and avail-ability of opening in the band.

* To place your application for consideration, return the application on this flyer with a $100 non re-fundable down payment to the Missouri Lions Band with the application. The balance must be paid by May 15, 2012.

* Please ask your high school band director or other school official to send an evaluation of your character and playing ability.

* Starting April 15, 2012 applications and evaluations will be reviewed. You will be notified of your acceptance after that date.
